Life off grid

June 17, 2016 @ 19:00 - 23:00

Next TransitieCinema will be about living off-grid, that means without a connection to the electric and natural gas infrastructure.

“From 2011 to 2013 Jonathan Taggart (Director) and Phillip Vannini (Producer) spent two years travelling across Canada to find 200 off-gridders and visit them in their homes. They met off-gridders in every single province and territory and through their film they narrated our travels and chronicled in depth the experiences, challenges, inventions, aspirations, and ways of life of people who have chosen to radically re-invent daily life in a dramatically innovative but also quite traditional way.
Life Off Grid is a film about people who have chosen to build their lives around renewable energy, with inspiring, and often challenging results.”

Admission is for free. The doors of Het Nutshuis open at 19.00, the movie starts at 19.30. Please note that during the movie the doors will be closed, so make sure to be there BEFORE 19.30 or you won’t be able to enter.
After the screening there will be the possibility to have drinks and talk about the movie at Juni Café in Het Nutshuis and Het Nutshuis garden.

The movie is in English. Availability of subtitles is not yet known.

TransitieCinema is organised in cooperation with Duurzaam Den Haag.
