The Hague is becoming a city of beer more and more, I have to admit: I like it!
Let me introduce to you EIBER, a new beer brand from the Hague, an initiative by Jasper van den Burg. Jasper started working at the former Brouw Café in Scheveningen back in 2006, here he learned a lot about the beer brewing process.
Over the years he started to dream about producing his own ‘Haagse’ beer. In 2016 he started producing EIBER beer on a larger scale in cooperation with the Noord-Hollandse Bierbrouwerij. They worked closely together and created EIBER Hofblond. They still experimented with EIBER De Baron, a beer in which they used Haagsche Hopjes. Say what?!
And now… the first 1.250 small bottles (330 ml) and 200 big bottles (0,750 ml) filled with EIBER beer Hofblond are here and it’s nice! A bitter yet sweet beer, you’ll be drinking this quite smoothly.
Did you know that eiber means stork? I don’t have to tell you why he chose this name. I really like EIBERs geometric stork logo, it looks modern and fresh.
You can get the beers via his webshop, at Alsem Slijterij and at Gekke Geit for now.
But who knows… Jasper has big dreams 😉
