About

This is one of my favorite views in town, at the brigde between Suezkade and Conradkade in Den Haag. Did you know that Frederik Willem Conrad was an engineer from The Hague who helped realizing the Suez Canal in Egypte? The canal in this picture goes all the way to the sea. It was built in 12 years (1868 – 1880) so boats could go to Scheveningen or the city center. Too bad the big boats don’t sail here anymore, would have been so cool!
