About

Den Haag doesn’t have that much windmills, but this one, the Laakmolen, is a true beauty! You can find her at of the Laakkade and Trekweg, next to the Haagse Vliet. She has been built upon the remains of an other old mill in 1699, and she’s is now the oldest mill in town. Did you know that this mill doesn’t have a permission to use the grind nowadays? Ohh and the famous Vincent van Gogh painted her in one of his paintings from 1882!
