About

I love these old trams in Den Haag. Let me tell you something about their history, we were pretty innovative at the time! Did you know that the first tram in town was here in 1864 (a tram pulled by horses) between the Parkstraat and the Kurhaus at Scheveningen? After that, in 1879, the first track for steam engine trams in Holland was built here and the first tram powered by electricity started driving around town in 1890. Nowadays you can see and enjoy these beauties on Sundays all over town, from April untill the end of October. You pay €5,00 for a 60 minute tour, which is departing from the Haagse Openbaar Vervoer Museum, Lange Voorhout or Grote Kerk. That’s a pretty cheap & cool time travel experience, right?
