Did you ever take a good look at the facade of Pathé Buitenhof at Buitenhof 20 in Den Haag? This will tell you something interesting about the history of the building. It was built in 1904 as restaurant Des Deux-Villes, as you can see on the front of the building in gold. In 1935 it became a cinema, called Cineac and later in 1995 it became cinema Pathé Buitenhof. In 2010 the restaurant and grand café Des Deux-Villes opened again. Once you are inside the building, look up at the ceiling on the first floor. You will see a beautiful and original painting!
