About

Close your eyes and imagine fresh baked kruidnoten… It’s one of the best smells in the world, right? It brings back so many good childhood memories, each year my sweet teacher Sacha baked them during Sinterklaas at primary school. I’ve loved them ever since, so I was VERY excited about the opening of this pop-up store at Denneweg 9 in Den Haag. The Pepernotenfabriek by Van Delft bakery opened yesterday and it looks so good, walls filled with pepernoten! They sell 50 (holy wow!) different flavours, like truffle and tiramisu. Van Delft started in 1880 with baking the pepernoten and anno 2015 they bake over 3 billion (holy wow again!) each year. I can’t wait to try them all!!
