About

A few weeks ago I went to BitterSweetz, a small hidden lunchroom in the city center.

While entering this supercute place, the vintage furniture catches my eye.. I like this! Different cool chairs, even some really relaxed ones in the back. Owner Susanne did a good job with the interior.

Well, I came here to eat, and so I did! What’s so special about BitterSweetz? They pay a lot attention to allergies or special diets. Options without lactose, gluten or sugar are all on the menu! Sandwiches with gluten free bread (normal bread is also an option) or pancakes made with almond flavor; yumm! Instead of using sugar in pie they use ahorn sirup, and some of them are even vegan. FI-NA-LLY a place that pays attention to people who want to eat things without sugar. I visited BitterSweetz during my detox, and I can tell you, it’s almost impossible to order something sweet without sugar in other lunchrooms. Oeh and they do high teas as well!

What’s really nice, is that they have a special menu with all the ingredients per pie on it, to make sure it fits your special needs. That’s pretty awesome right?

The lunchroom also sells cute postcards of The Hague, which you can sent to your loved ones straight away.

Yesterday this place celebrated it’s first birthday, so make sure to check it out, if you haven’t before!

It’s really a great place! With a gluten intolerance it’s not easy to find a place for breakfast. But I’ve been to Bittersweetz 3 times now and I like it a lot. The juices, the cakes, the sandwiches, the pancakes, the coffee…
