About

Ever noticed this building at Paviljoensgracht 73-74 in #DenHaag before? This is a place with a lot of history! The famous philosopher Spinoza used to live here and wrote the book Ethica in this building. Eventually he died at this place in 1677, his remains were burried right behind the Nieuwe Kerk in Den Haag. Nowadays, in front of the building, you find a statue of him, to remind us of his presence in the past. I’ll end this post with one of his famous quotes: “If you want to be different from the past, study the past”. Good night!
