Bars, Breakfast, Coffee, Dinner, Food & Drinks, Lunch

Lovely lunchrooms, I can’t get enough of them! I try to visit a new one every weekend and tell you all about it.
Like the French
This was one has been on my list for a little while: Café Madeleine. This place is like a francaise: sophisticated, stylish, no nonsense and she likes quality.
On the menu you’ll find breakfast options (pancakes, croissants, yoghurt, croque monsieur), sandwiches or better said: pains, salades, soupes, eggs -only on rainy days and when it snows-, delicious juices, different teas, homemade cakes (7! choices) and the mother of all French things: eclairs! I loveee eclairs. Oeh and vin, of course they have wine.
I really like their fresh lemonades (peach with mint for example) and the D’Antoni sandwich (grilled chicken, tomato, avocado, bacon and mahamara, yumm). C’est tres bon!
Silence please
An other thing on the menu I really like, is a special request from Madeleine herself: don’t use your phone in case you really, really need to. So no calls or annoying blieps during your relaxed breakfast, lunch or diner. And no iPads with sound for entertaining the kids. A woman behind me did that (I hate it, go home please!), but one of Madeleines friendly waiters told her to switch of the sound… And she did, hurray!

Note: as you can see I did use my phone 😉 really quick and without any sound – it’s for the The Hagues sake you know.
Last thing I love about Madeleine is their sunny terrace, it’s so cozy underneath the trees.
Oui, la vie est belle a Cafe Madeleine!
